What?

The Maker Challenge Pro gathers students and professionals in order to solve real-world problems through a human-centered, thinking by doing methodology.

Who?

University students, recent graduates or professionals from different disciplines that are willing to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.

How?

In a 5 stage process with sessions composed of a 1-hour Master Class, followed by 3 hours of autonomous teamwork with coaching and Maker Space guided workshops. If you cannot come, don't worry; you can participate online!

When?

During April and May:

4 sessions of 4 hours on Saturday morning
Available personalized coaching workshops in a maker space
Final event at the Maker Faire BCN mid-June.

Where?

In Creator Street’s space, in the center of Barcelona *, even though you can also participate online from anywhere in the world.

Timeline

Workshops are scheduled from the beginning of April to the end of May during the weekend (4h per workshop)*.

Saturday morning 21/04: Introduction to Design Thinking, inspiration stage and definition of the challenge.
Saturday morning 05/05: Insights, ideation and low-fi prototyping.
During the month of May: Fabrication. 4h to choose per group to do the prototype with professional coaching at a Maker Space (optional - not included).
Saturday morning 26/05: Prepare the presentation and improve the prototype.
Mid-June: Presentation event and awards at the Maker Faire Barcelona.
